If you have any question regarding software, Dave Ward will be your man. From the moment he started in 1999, he’s been involved in the development of new versions, supporting our customers and training them. Needless to say, he has a wealth of Procut experience and knows all the tips and tricks to help you get the most out of your software and machine.
Q: What were you doing before you joined Esprit?
Dave: Before Esprit, I served for 15 years in the Royal Air Force working on flight simulators and undertaking a HNC in CAD software. My time there has proved invaluable for providing training and building customer relationships.
Q: What is your top tip to get the most out of ProCut?
Dave: I really recommend people come for training and even a refresher course. Often people stumble upon a certain way of using the software on their own. By coming on a course I can show them features that are either new or have been forgotten so they can use the software more efficiently. Also, by interacting with other customers on the same course, participants get a broad experience of how the software can be used and maybe in ways that hadn’t occurred to them.
Q: What can customers expect from their Procut training course?
Dave: There is a lot of ground to cover as Procut has so many facets, but with a maximum of 5 people on a course at any one time there are plenty of opportunities for you to ask questions and contribute in discussions. We work through the course content together, using real life examples where possible, and there’s a pub lunch each day so we can get to know each other better – I can highly recommend the ham and mushroom omelette!
Q: What are the top 3 FAQs you receive about software?
1. I’m not sure what I need to do next to complete a task?
The status bar at the bottom of the screen will display step by step how to perform tasks. If you are unsure what to do, read this.
2. Please can I have a Hasp update code?
When your security code is due to expire, Procut will display a dialog box warning you that an update code is required. When this box appears, press the “Email These Details…” button to automatically create an email containing the relevant details to request an update code.
3. My Hasp code has expired and I don’t have an update. Can I still use Procut?
Yes. After sending the request for an Hasp update code (see above), press ”Continue” to close the dialog box and gain access to Procut to continue working whilst waiting for the code.
